You know how it goes… a new game comes out, the media gives it great reviews, ads for it are all over TV and the Internet and the guys down at Brand X (you know, that one that wants you to pre-order everything when the big box stores will have 200 copies the day it comes out) say that it will be the hottest thing since Pac-Man Fever took over society in 1980. Yet the game still ends up marked down heavily within weeks! Waiting a bit until you've had a chance to learn more about the game before picking it up at Gameover not only will protect you from that initial $60 hit but also may end up saving you even more by helping you avoid spending a lot on a game that wouldn't end up providing you much value over time. Most video games go out of print within four years or less and are never produced in their original form ever again. Brand X and the rest of the mass market is focused on new, new, new -- offering a very limited selection of games older than four years, and Brand X doesn't even carry games for the Nintendo Gamecube any more, let alone games made before 2004!
Obtaining refurbished items from Gameover can save you anywhere from 15% to 90% off of the game's original list price. In the case of DVD movies, most are priced at $3.99 or less. Blu-Rays are mostly $7.99.
Do you fancy SNES, Playstaion 1, Game Boy, Genesis or Dreamcast games? Good luck getting those from the big boys – but you already knew that. All of our cartridge-based games and systems have been cleaned, refurbished and are guaranteed to work perfectly for 30 days, but of course they will run a lot longer than that. We don't see many malfunctioning Atari, Genesis or N64 systems come in the door for example, but you certainly can't say that about the Xbox 360!

At Gameover, disc based media such as newer games and DVDs have had any scratches removed with our disc reconditioning process, using a device that also allows us to resurface your discs for a small fee. This allows us to offer a 7-day warranty on game and movie discs purchased from Gameover. Note that PS3 and Blu-Ray discs cannot be resurfaced. We do not purchase damaged PS3 and Blu-Ray discs.
